Tin Pop Pop Boat - Candle Powered - Vintage Style

Tin litho printed pop-pop boat - this old fashioned favourite is steam powered.  Seeing it in action is great for sparking science/mechanical interest in the little ones, far more interesting than classroom science!

It comes with: the boat, tray, 2 x candles, 1 x plastic filling tube.

How does it work?

1. Attach the plastic tube to one of the 'exhaust' pipes protruding the back of the boat and use it to add water to the boiler tank (hidden inside the front part of the boat)
2. Place boat in water (a bathtub is a good spot)
3. Place a single candle in the tray, with the wick alight (place it so the wick is pointing towards the rounded end of the tray)
4. Place tray and lit candle inside the boat, with the wick end at the front of the boat
5. Watch it putt putt away!

Due to the small parts (and fire) this one is not for small children to use by themselves.  They will however love watching it work under the supervision of an adult.
