The Order of the Star in the East was an international spiritual organisation established in 1911 by members of the Theosophical Society. It was created to prepare for the anticipated arrival of a new “World Teacher”, a role associated with the young Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti. The organisation attracted followers worldwide and published journals, lectures and reports concerning Theosophy, spirituality and Krishnamurti’s teachings.
