Dog with Bell Wind Up Tin Toy | Newspaper Seller | Collectable Retro

$18.00

In Stock

Old school wind up tin toy -  a doggy newspaper seller complete with bell.  Once wound he rings the bell, turns his head and moves around.

Reproduction tin toys have become quite collectable in modern times, as true vintage pieces become harder to find. Our range of metal wind up and push-along toys look and feel as they would have back in the late 1800s to mid-1900s.

Motorised tin-plate toys began production in Germany in the 1860s, with the most famous producer being Ernst Paul Lehmann, who continued to make tin toys until the 1930s.

  • Bright and cheerful
  • Collectable
  • Old school
  • Hand-assembled - this means that there may be small, light scratches on some of the pieces
  • For adults (the small parts pose a choking risk for little ones - though they will love watching him go!)
