Butterie Flip-Top Butter Dish w Spreader | Red

'Butterie' is a butter dish with attached flip-top lid.  This one comes in a red colour and has a matching spreader included.

It is a patented invention by Joelle Mertzel,  who was sick of fridge hard butter but also sick of the mess and faffing about of a 2 piece butter dish

Now for the hot debate, is it safe to keep butter on the counter rather than the fridge?

Science, in the form of shelf life studies, says yes.  Butter is food safe at room temperatures (between 20 and 25 degrees) for up to 3 weeks.  So while you'll need to be careful if your your kitchen is a hot spot in summer, for the most part there is no issue with leaving the butter out.
