Striking Art Noveau black and brown Reinhold Merkelbach pitcher jug:
- Grenzhausen Nassau back stamp, in use between 1909 and 1920
- Attributed to designer Ludwig Leybold who worked with the company between 1912 and 1916
- Squat round shape with applied black thumprint and scroll detailing
CONDITION
- One small nick on the handle (near the hole on top)
- One small nick on the base rim
- Two small nicks on the black applied detail
- These all show as small spots of grey
- All as pictured
DIMENSIONS
21 cm tall, 24 cm diameter around the broadest part of the body, 24 cm wide handle to spout. Weighs 2.3 kg.
