They have an ornate pattern, the type you would normally find on Granny's bone china kept in the 'good cupboard' dinner set.

It is precisely that in face - being a reproduction of plate from the Porcelain Worcester Factory, as decorated by James Giles and originally made at the end of 1700's.  Asmolean Museum at the University of Oxford holds the original plate.
