ANTIQUE Flow Blue & Gold Staffordshire Salad Bowl & Servers - Sterling Silver Collars
In Stock
Beautifully vibrant flow blue and gold salad bowl with silver plated rim and matching pair of servers - silver plated with sterling collars (hallmarked for 1912 Sheffield and JY).
It is always hard to find the bowl with the servers still with it!
The bowl is stamped with a 'Staffordshire Knot' but is not clear enough to determine the pottery who made this beautiful piece. It is hand numbered B5221.
Underneath the silver plated rim is a textured line of white and gold beading. The sides are convex and the design is reminiscent of blue flowers on a gold background.
CONDITION
There is some wear to the gold parts of the bowl (showing as patches of white). The silver plated rim has lifted a little, though is firm and not loose at all. It's just that the gap between it and the beading below is too large in spots. The bowl has no cracks, chips or crazing. The servers are very sturdily put together but have lost more colouring on the ceramic parts, with a great deal of white showing.
DIMENSIONS
The bowl is 11 cm deep with a diameter of 28 cm at the broadest part of the sides. The servers are 28 cm long.
